Over 4500 riders of pre 1987 vintage bicycles arrived in Bakewell to take part in Eroica Britannia. L'Eroica, which translates to "The Heroes" originated in Italy in 1997 and has now become a global network of cycling events with the common appreciation of cycling's golden era.
